Community Guidelines
Last updated: 26 July 2026 · Version 1.0
Union is built around unions — small groups of people who actually share something. That only works if people feel safe in them. These guidelines are the line. They apply everywhere on Union: posts, comments, stories, polls, events, voice notes, union names and descriptions, usernames, and profile photos. Breaking them can cost you a post, a union, or your account.
1. The short version
- Treat people the way you would if you were standing in front of them.
- Post what you have the right to post.
- If something is wrong, report it. We read reports.
2. What is not allowed
Harassment and bullying. No targeting people with insults, pile-ons, threats, sexual harassment, or unwanted contact. No encouraging others to do it.
Hate. No attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation. No hate symbols or slurs.
Violence and threats. No threatening or wishing harm on anyone. No glorifying violence, terrorism, or violent extremism. No content that celebrates a mass attack or its perpetrator.
Sexual content and exploitation. No pornography or sexually explicit material. Absolutely no content that sexualises minors — we report it to the authorities and permanently ban the account, without exception. No non-consensual intimate imagery and no sextortion.
Self-harm. No promoting or instructing suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders. If you are struggling, please contact your local emergency or crisis service — Union is not a crisis service.
Illegal and regulated goods. No selling drugs, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit items, or human trafficking of any kind.
Graphic content. No gore or shock content posted for its own sake.
Spam and manipulation. No bulk unsolicited posting, engagement farming, scams, phishing, fake giveaways, or bots. No creating unions purely to spam.
Impersonation and deception.Do not pretend to be someone else or misrepresent a union’s purpose to get people to join.
Privacy violations.Do not post someone’s private information — home address, phone number, identification documents, or financial details — without their consent. Do not share private-union content outside that union.
Intellectual property. Only post what you own or have permission to use.
3. Unions have their own rules too
The owner of a union sets who can post, comment, react, and invite, and whether the union is public or private. Owners can remove members. Respect the union you are in — being technically within these guidelines does not entitle you to stay in someone’s community.
Owners are responsible for their union. If a union exists to break these guidelines, we remove the whole union.
4. Reporting
Use the ⋯ menu on any post, comment, story, union, or profile and choose Report. Pick the closest reason and send. Reports are confidential — the person you report is not told who reported them.
We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. You can also email admin@unionpeeps.com for anything urgent or anything the in-app flow does not cover.
5. What we do about breaches
Depending on severity and history, we may:
- remove the content;
- issue a warning or a strike;
- restrict what your account can do;
- suspend your account for a period;
- permanently ban your account and remove your unions.
Serious breaches — child safety, credible threats of violence, or terrorism — skip straight to a permanent ban and, where required, a report to law enforcement.
6. Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email admin@unionpeeps.com from the address on your account and tell us what was removed and why you disagree. A human reads it.
7. Changes
We update these guidelines as the community grows and as new problems appear. The current version always lives here and in the app.
